What is the Himmat Card Program?

The Himmat Card is a unique financial aid initiative launched by the Punjab government to assist disabled individuals. The card allows recipients to access quarterly financial assistance of Rs. 10,500 and will eventually serve as an access tool for additional services to empower PWDs.

With Phase 2 of the program now in effect, an additional 25,000 individuals will be registered, bringing the total number of beneficiaries to 65,000. To ensure inclusivity, a special 30% quota is reserved for women.

Himmat Card Phase 2: Eligibility Criteria

Before applying, you must check your Himmat Card Phase 2 eligibility. Below are the key requirements:

  • Certified Disability**: The application is registered as a person with a disability with the Social Welfare Department of Punjab.
  • Unemployment Condition – The applicant should not be employed in government or private organizations.
  • Financial Need**: Individuals who have previously received financial assistance from programs such as Bait-ul-Mal, PSPA, BISP, or the Zakat Fund are ineligible for this program.
  • PMT Score – The applicant’s Poverty Means Test (PMT) score from BISP must not exceed 45.
  • Updated Records**: The individual’s information (CNIC, address, contact details, and disability status) must be current in the Disability Persons Management Information System (DPMIS).

Key Features of Himmat Card Phase 2

Financial Assistance: Each eligible individual will receive Rs. 10,500 every three months.

  • Target Beneficiaries: 65,000 individuals with disabilities will benefit from this scheme.
  • Special Quota for Women: 30% of the allocation is reserved for women with disabilities.
  • Multiple Payment Options: Beneficiaries can withdraw funds from ATMs or cash centers.
  • Payment Start Date: The first round of payments for Phase 2 will commence on September 15, 2025.

How do you register for Himmat Card Phase 2?

There are two ways to register for the Himmat Card: online registration via the PWD app or in-person registration at the DHQ Hospital.

1. Online Registration via PWD App

If you can access a smartphone or computer, you can easily apply online through the PWD app. Follow these steps:

  • Step 1:** Download the PWD App from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
  • Step 2:** Create an account by providing your CNIC, name, contact number, and details about your disability.
  • Step 3: SeleDisabilityvices and complete the Himmat Card application form.
  • Step 4: Schedule an appointment with a government-appointed doctor for verification.
  • Step 5:** After the medical verification, your information will be sent to the Punjab Social Welfare Department.
  • Step 6:** Once your application is verified, you can collect your Himmat Card from the nearest DHQ hospital.

2. In-Person Registration at DHQ Hospitals

For individuals who do not have access to a smartphone, an option for in-person registration is available.

  • Step 1:** Visit the nearest District Headquarters (DHQ) hospital.
  • Step 2: Bring your CNIC and disability certificate for verification.
  • Step 3: Fill out the application form with the help of hospital staff.
  • Step 4:** Collect your Himmat Card from the hospital once your application is approved.

Payment Distribution & Withdrawal Options

Once registered, the financial assistance will be disbursed every three months. Beneficiaries have two withdrawal options:

  1. ATM Withdrawals – The Himmat Card functions like a standard ATM card, enabling individuals to withdraw funds directly.
  2. Cash Center Collection – For those unable to use ATMs, biometric verification can collect payments at designated cash centers.
